How does McDonald’s care so much about plastic straws?

In McDonald’s, sometimes for drinks, they give the drink without a straw! McDonald’s still sells other plastic items but why do they care so much about plastic straws but not other plastic? The answer to that is called Selective Empathy! This is a problem where all humans suffer from! For example, we care about one thing but don’t care about the other! For example, take plastic, plastic causes so much pollution worldwide and causes the death of millions of living beings! McDonald’s wants to save turtles that get straws stuck in them. But other plastic items are causing deaths to other animals around the world! It is very important to care about everything and not only care about one specific thing!
