How To Be More Sustainable?

By Kids of RMB

Many people are not treating the earth as sustainable! They are polluting our earth and messing it up! Here are a few ways how to be sustainable!

The first thing which you could do is start reducing your waste! Usually, people throw out so many reusable items and an overload of trash ends up in landfills causing pollution. There are many things that you are throwing away which could be reused! Before you throw out your waste, always remember the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

E-Waste causes pollution every year! E-Waste contains many hazardous chemicals which could cause severe contamination of the soil and water! It could even cause many diseases in us as well! If you have used electronics that you don’t even need, you can donate them to social programs! This way, you are giving your old device a new owner and a new life rather than just discarding it!

Always make sure to buy what you really need! Many people just buy things that they don’t even need and end up throwing them away! So always think twice before buying so you don’t harm our environment!

You always have to think about the quality rather than the quantity!

Stop using single-use items like plastic water bottles and start using reusable items! Take batteries as an example! So many single-use batteries end up in landfills and cause so much pollution! You can start using more rechargeable batteries over single-use batteries as rechargeables last power for many years! This same rule applies to plastic and other single-use items as well!

Use less water as there is less clean water in the world! You can buy those shower heads where it uses limited water which would help reduce water wastage.

These are a few ways how you can be more sustainable in your house! If you do something which is sustainable, feel free to email me at nihal@recyclemybattery.org so I could post it on Social media and I will be the first person to be happy! Looking forward to seeing emails pop up in my inbox!
