New global disaster!

We are already seeing a big tragedy from COVID-19. But this next global disaster is closer than you ever think! After the scientists analyzed this data, they found out that this disaster is worse than we have seen so far! The Amazon rainforest is basically known as the lungs of the planet! This massive rainforest has a big percentage of the world’s trees. This forest produces more than 20% of the world’s O2! According to a new study from 2010 to 2019, the Amazon rainforest released more than 16.6 billion tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere! That is a lot of CO2 being released and causing pollution right there! This is 20% more CO2 released than O2. According to many environmental studies, deforestation has been increased by nearly 4 times! That means that more trees are being cut down and used! In 2019, 43 billion tonnes of CO2 were emitted from our activity! This caused a lot of pollution and contributed to the global warming of Mother Earth! So many countries set a goal to become 100% carbon neutral by 2050. But we know that there is only 1 country that is carbon neutral! That country is Bhutan!

Like I always say, Mother Earth is giving us so many useful resources to survive like air, food, and water but we are doing the complete opposite! We are trashing our planet and poisoning our one and only planet! Yes, Elon Musk has plans to colonize Mars but we don’t have a clue if that is even going to happen! Let’s use Bhutan and the global sustainable development goals as a piece of inspiration to stop pollution and climate change to make our Mother Earth a better place to live!!
