Recycling Left Over Soap Bars From Major Hotels!

By Kids of RMB

A Man Is Collecting Soap Bars From Major Hotels And Recycling Them For A Greener World!

Usually, used soaps from guests at hotels are thrown away into landfill. But 14 years ago, Shawn Seipler got a great idea where he takes used soaps from Hotels and recycles them. So to follow this passion, he quit his job and asked the Major Hotels to pay him money if he recycled the used soap. The Hotel Brands agreed to this and gave Shawn the used soap. Shawn got a few of his friends and together, they sliced the top portion of used soap, melted, and recreated them into new bars of soap. After recreating them, Shawn partnered with multiple Non-Profit Organizations to help needy people.

Shawn with the help of his friends and the non-profits went out and distributed the soap to all of the needy people who don’t have enough money to afford basic essentials like hygiene products. Shawn also created a big positive impact on our environment while making these soaps. By recycling used soap, he saved millions of pounds of soap going into landfills every year. This story goes to show that 1 man’s trash is another man’s treasure. We should always help people in need and show them our kindness and kindness will come back to us! Shawn saved many people at the risk of dying with the soap that he recycled and re-created.

Let’s hope that we see more organizations like this that aim in supporting health and the environment as well! Kudos to Shawn who is an inspiration to me and many other kids!
