Epson’s PaperLab Recycles Shredded Documents Into Fresh White Paper!

By Kids of RMB

We waste so much paper every day which is contributing to tree loss! But Epson found the perfect solution! They created a machine where it converts used paper into new paper! Let’s look at what happens inside of it!

A worker dumps old used papers into the machine. It then spreads the paper and a jet stream of air is used to eliminate the ink from the shredded remains of the used paper. Then, liquid binders are added to reassemble the fibers into recycled sheets. Then, a high-pressure process turns the waste into new recycled paper! Epson can print 14 sheets of paper a minute. That is over 6700 sheets of paper during the 8-hour workday!

Paper making process

Let’s hope this machine would be available all over the world soon and bring down the process of cutting down the trees for papers. Let’s make our earth a better place to live for our future generations to come.
