Geoengineering Could Return A High Risk Of Malaria For 1 Billion People!

By Kids of RMB

Geoengineering the climate would have massive repercussions for the health of billions of people at a very high risk of malaria. The risk of people developing Malaria would be higher if they live in tropical countries like India.

This is the first assessment of how geoengineering the climate could impact and spread many infectious diseases. The study focuses on solar radiation management (SRM). SRM is asking for emergency action to reduce the dangerous impacts caused by climate change. The scientists were doing experiments to see the impacts of climate change on our health. One action that has been proposed is injecting aerosols into the stratosphere that reflect incoming sunlight, thereby temporarily “pausing” global warming. Though SRM is often discussed as a way to reduce climate injustice, its potential impacts on health have seldom been studied.

We have to stop climate change because tropical countries would suffer from many mosquitos. Because of climate change, many mosquitos are going to tropical countries and are killing many people.
