Heatwaves and Fires Scorch Europe, Africa, and Asia!!

By Kids of RMB

In the summer of 2022 (still ongoing), multiple dangerous heatwaves around the world bought an increased risk of wildfire activity and temperature records!

In June and July of 2022, deadly heatwaves struck Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia! In some of these regions, temperatures climbed above 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). As a result of these heatwaves, this bought new temperature records!

The picture of the map above shows all of the details about the surface air temperatures across most of the Eastern Hemisphere! There is a chart on the bottom of the map which shows the temperatures and the colors of the regions.

“While there is a clear pattern of ab ‘atmospheric wave’ with alternating warm and bluer values sun different locations, this prominent area of extreme heat is another clear indication that all of the carbon emissions which re being caused by greenhouse gases(human activity) are causing extreme heatwaves and weather conditions. These are impacting our living conditions,” said Steven Pawson, chief of the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

Please stop global warming and make our beloved earth a better place to live!
