Tracking Deluge And Drought Through Soil Moisture!

By Kids of RMB

From soaked to dry, the variable state of the United States Of America has implications for farmers and crop production.

After a lot of rain poured down and flooding occurred in the Mississippi Valley and other regions in the year 2019, drought has returned back to much of the USA in 2021-2022. It has become from wet to dry very instantly.

The opposing extremes were detected by NASA satellites. This satellite tracked the areas of high and low moisture more closely on earth!

The animations on this page which are based on the data from Crop CASMA show the soil moisture anomalies in the top 10 centimeters of the ground around the entire USA.

Let’s try to educate about climate awareness and change our behavior to make our beloved earth a better place to live!!!
