What is Lomi the Kitchen Composter by Pela?

By Kids of RMB

Have you ever wondered what happens to all of the garbage that we throw away? Well, it goes to either a landfill or an incineration plant! Both processes can emit millions of pounds of methane and CO2 into the air and cause air pollution! But, an organization called Pela, came forward to create a smart invention!

Pela is an organization that created biodegradable phone cases so we can limit our use of plastic and the environment! So Pela then created a smart composted called Lomi! Lomi (https://pela.earth/lomi) is an electric Vermicomposter that makes garbage optional! You can place plastic bags, food scraps, trash, and even your old Pela phone cases into it. In a few days, it will create soil from these scraps which are good for plant growth and can also be disposed of properly! This smart invention could change our lives and could reduce the millions of pounds of methane going into the air each year!

If you were wondering how much Lomi costs, you could buy Lomi for $499 USD!! So if you are concerned about the environment and want to help in any way, make sure to check out Lomi!
