Worst Drought on Record Parches Horn of Africa!

By Kids of RMB

The year is coming to a close! 2023 is almost 2 weeks away! The Horn of Africa (Basically Somalia) is experiencing a severe drought! As a result of this record drought, this is impacting and threatening millions of people living here with starvation!

On November 7, 2022, a consortium of 16 global associations gave an assertion about the decaying food security emergency in Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia. As per the assertion, a huge scope loss of food and pay throughout recent years, due basically to a dry spell, has prompted food frailty for 21 million individuals across the area. Multiple million individuals face crisis levels of food frailty, and that implies they consistently go a day or more without eating and have offered their assets to procure pay for endurance. In Somalia, the dry season has constrained over 1.3 million individuals to forsake their homesteads and move to dislodge destinations.

All of these heatwaves and life-threatening droughts are occurring just because of human activities! We need to stop our bad actions toward Mother Earth to make it a better place to live!
