Dry winds and grasses fuel Texas Fires!

By Kids of RMB

More than 100,000 acres of land have burned in Texas in the mid-March wildfire outbreak!

High winds, low humidity, and drought-parched grasses fueled so many wildfires in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas in the mid of March 2022. According to Texas environmental companies, at least 178 wildfires have burned more than 100,000 acres of land in Texas in the past 7 days!

On March 20, 2022, NASA evaluated satellite images of Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma and saw many fires. The red dots represent the fires in the image!

About 125 miles west of Dallas, the Kidd Fire ignited on March 17 after days of strong and dry winds. More than 40,0.0 acres have burned so far in a massive fire which is more than 40% contained. More than 147 homes and structures were destroyed. It destroyed most of the city of Carbon! Not only these fires are destroying homes, but they are also emitting lots of smoke and pollution as well! So much carbon dioxide is going into the air and causing and contributing to Global Warming! Let’s stop pollution to stop wildfires from growing to make the earth a better place to live!
