Radioactive Diamond Batteries!

By Kids of RMB

We all know about this clean energy source called nuclear power! Nuclear power reactors emit this nuclear power! Nuclear power reactors are clean and they emit no carbon dioxide or bad gas! But a recent study shows that these power reactors emit so much radioactive waste which is bad for the environment! So a group of physicists 👨‍🔬 created a new type of clean radioactive battery in the Cabot Institute for the Environment from the University of Bristol in 2016 which was immediately acclaimed because they promised a cost-effective way of recycling nuclear waste.

This invention was presented at the university as a betavoltaic device, which means that it’s powered by the beta decay of nuclear waste. Impressive right! This Battery can clean up the non environmentally friendly waste that nuclear power reactors emit! This battery doesn’t function like a normal battery! This battery contains DIAMONDS💎! That is why this battery is named the radioactive diamond battery. There are atoms in this battery that are converted to radioactive diamonds. These diamonds are then converted to electricity and power the thing which is using diamond battery!

Let’s make our mother earth a better place to live for our future generations to come!
