Today we have found that all species produce Methane!!!

By Kids of RMB

Methane is a potent Greenhouse Gas! Methane is used to power lights, for cooking, etc. Whenever you use Natural Gas, then you are using methane as well. I say this because Natural Gas contains methane and ethane which collide together to burn as natural gas. Methane is 10 times better at warming the earth than Carbon Dioxide. So these characteristics make methane a very harmful gas. For many years, scientists studied that methane is only produced by a single-celled organism called, Archaea upon the decomposition of organic matter in the absence of oxygen.

Now, earth and biology scientists collaborated to do more research on Methane and they learned that an enzyme is not necessary for methane formation. Methane formation is triggered in most reactive Oxygen species. Human cells, bacteria, and mostly every cell produce methane. Cows and rice paddies produce the most methane according to scientific encyclopedias. Plants also produce methane.

You should stop mining too much because that releases so much methane. Let’s stop using natural gas and find a much more renewable source to make Mother Earth a better place to live.
