Hurricanes also known as typhoons, or tropical cyclones threaten North American coastlines every year. Usually in the USA, Atlantic Hurricanes are common compared to Pacific Hurricanes which are rare to hit USA Pacific states(California, Washington, Oregon). Since climate change is increasing and the oceans are becoming warmer, hurricanes could start to intensify! This could start causing lots of damage to many areas!
In discoveries distributed on Nov. 9, NASA researchers project spring Icy tornadoes will heighten before this century’s over as a direct result of ocean ice misfortune and quickly warming temperatures. Those conditions will prompt more grounded storms that convey hotter air and more dampness into the Cold.
The cyclones will be stronger in precipitation, wind, and pressure. Since the air temperatures are rising, experts say that instead of excessive snowfall, rain could take its place and cause lots of rainfall and eliminate snowfall. This is bad news for the polar regions as they could melt faster.
Let’s hope that we could stop Global Warming to help our earth come back to normal and make it a better place to live for future generations to come.
