Thousands Of Tonnes Of Air Pollution Could Be Reduced By Changing The Way We Dry Our Laundry!

By Kids of RMB

A new study has found that drying a load of laundry releases almost the same amount of potentially harmful gases into the air. These are released into the drain during the washing process.

Researchers from Northumbria University worked with multiple scientists to publish this issue in science journals.

The team of scientists found that the use of fabric conditioners and dryer sheets could reduce microfibre release from the tumble dryers. These findings were posted in the Science Journal.

The scientists also found that the use of lint filters with smaller pores would trap larger masses resulting in fewer harmful microfibre being released into the air.

Let’s start using these fabric conditioners and dryer sheets to reduce microbe release and make our Mother Earth a better place to live for our future generations to come.
