Recycle My Battery Blog

Let’s talk about an edible water bottle created by scientists!

By Kids of RMB

These clear pods look like something from the International Space Station! Ooho is the water you can eat. It was invented by a company called Skipping Rocks Lab / Ooho! in London. They have created an alternative to plastic water bottles which was using seaweed as a capsule and storing water inside of it! You can just peel the skin and pop Ooho into your mouth! You will have an unforgettable experience! The seaweed doesn’t have a flavor yet but later on, they will be flavored! Ooho is being tested in athletic areas as of now and the company hopes to bring them to the market soon so, we could say our final goodbye to plastic bottles!

Let’s appreciate Rodrigo García González and Pierre-Yves Paslier for their invention and hope many kids like me will get inspired by them and come up with new inventions to save our Earth.

Please do make Mother Earth a better place to live for our future generations to come!!!
